Our Kasbahs & Desert tour ended in Marrakech. I quite liked Marrakech – it’s considered the tourism capital of Morocco. After arriving, dropping our luggage and lunch (my first taste of schwarma!) we walked from the hotel to the Djema el-Fna for a look. There is a lot happening here. Of course there are markets. In addition to acrobatic shows, there are snake charmers and monkey handlers and otherwise good people watching. It’s handy that there are so many rooftop terraces for drinking mint green tea and observing the goings-on of the square.
